TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The Managing Director of PT PLN (Persero) Dahlan Iskan revealed a surprising fact about people�s electricity consumption, especially in Java and Bali.
Three days ago, electricity use in Java and Bali reached 19,896 megawatt.
�This is a new record. It has never happened before,� said Dahlan in between a working meeting between the government and the House of Representatives (DPR) Energy Commission, on Tuesday (8/6).
According to Dahlan, this is a very interesting development.
Based on annual data collected by the PLN, there is an additional 100 MW every month.
On the other hand, PLN has to be able fulfill new demands.
�But this is also happy news. It means that Indonesia�s economy grows extraordinarily,� he said laughing.
