Having fun is going to get more expensive in Jakarta!:

From :http://www.whatsnewjakarta.com/newsletter/2010/index.htm

If sky-high wine and spirits prices weren’t bad enough, the Jakarta City Council has approved an increase in entertainment tax from 20 percent to 35 percent and which will affect discothèques, nightclubs, karaoke parlours, pubs, bars and live music venues.

It is expected that this tax increase will be passed on to consumers. Their rationale was that they consider users of these venues to be in a higher income brackets and thus can afford the additional cost. Hmmm.
