Bali Twinned and Jakarta Awarded at Sydney Skal Congress




Bali was very present at the Skal International Congress in Sydney last week.

Anthony Syrowatka our man in charge of twinning signed the document on stage at the Congress and will soon bring us news on the planned development of our special relationship with Skal Sydney.
Indonesia World Leader in Membership Growth.
Over the past two years Indonesia achieved the highest increase worldwide adding over 100 new members.
Skal Bali, Southeast Asia's largest Skal Club, a leader in growth worldwide won the 2009 Platinum Membership Development Award for the highest number of new members worldwide.
In 2010 Skal Jakarta, founded in 1937, the first Skal club in world outside of Europe, won the Silver Award.

“Linking the world down under” with Skål

More than 550 participants from approximately 50 countries participated in the 71st Skål International World Congress, which was held in Sydney from 7-12 October.

During the congress, which was themed “Linking the World Down Under,” Skål International Sunshine Coast was awarded the title of 2010 Skål Club of the Year for the second time.

“We are a small but extremely proactive group of Skålleagues who are working tirelessly toward increasing our membership and informing the Sunshine Coast Tourism industry of the benefits of Skål International,” The Sunshine Coast chapter said in a statement.

“As one of the smaller chapters, we are so excited to be the winner of the Skål International Club of the Year Award again.”

“This is fantastic news for the Club who will be hosting their annual night on Tuesday 26th October.

“The theme for the evening is ‘Hollywood’ and all members of the tourism and travel industry are welcome to attend.

“With ex Sydney Swans player, Ben Mathews as MC there will be lots of entertainment, prizes, guest speakers including newly appointed Sunshine Coast Destination Ltd CEO, Michael Denton and much more.”

Skål delegates have voted for Seoul-Incheon to host the 73rd Annual Skål Congress in October 2012.

Bali Skalees Go Down Under to Represent The Bali Skal Club

Four members of the Bali Skal Club will represent the Bali Skal Club, which is one of the largest and fastest growing clubs in the world, at the annual Skal Congress being held in Sydney next week .

Thousands of Hotel & Resort General managers, Travel agents and associates will attend the four day event hosted by the Sydney Skal Club which just celebrated it's 50th. anniversary.

The Congress Theme is - "Linking the World down under"
